My Students
In my Fifth grade ICT class, every student is special and unique. I've taken joy in being a part of a special school community where students, families, and teachers all work together to give our students a strong social, emotional and academic foundation.
We all have the same goal in mind: to cultivate a nurturing environment in which we are committed to challenging each student to meet his or her optimal potential academically, socially, and emotionally by respecting, appreciating and challenging students in a caring community, while building a sense of responsibility and respect.
My students really take pride in their classroom and learning. Despite many of them coming from difficult and unfortunate circumstances, my students come to school with smiles on their faces, ready and willing to learn.
My Project
In my class I have a variety of learning levels. In Reading my students range from a level N to V.
I am asking for various sets of leveled books, both fiction and nonfiction, on levels N through Z to meets the needs and interests of my students.
Currently I have a leveled library that has old-out dated books which are falling apart and do not interest my readers. These new books will motivate and engage my students to read. These book sets will support and reinforce the skills taught during lessons. Having these books will allow students to get the most out of our lessons.
