Fiction, Fiction Everywhere and Nowhere to Store Them!

My students need more storage space to house their fiction books. In order to support their desire and love for reading through popular fiction series books, we need more book shelves to store them!

My Students

Lambert-Lavoie School is a K-5 school of approximately 325 low-middle income students. Since so few of our students have little to no access to books outside the school environment due to their social-economic environments, our school library is the only access they have to enticing, self-picked books to bring home to read. When they are able to choose books they like to read, it helps to encourage a love of reading for them and as well as helps to enhance their reading skills. For some, it also allows them some control in their learning environment when it seems there is so little they are in control of in their lives.

My Project

My students LOVE fiction series books!! Looking for more shelving to store all the fictional series books that Lambert-Lavoie readers love to read. Our library has a very small footprint and in order to accommodate for the larger sizes of the fiction books available, we need more space to showcase the fictional series that the students gravitate to in order to fit these other larger books on the Fiction shelves.

Please help us to make room for more fiction books so that my students will be able to access many more fiction choices to satisfy their reading interests and continue to foster a love for reading.
