My Students

Our students at FHS live in a very rural area, with very few resources locally to support and enhance their educational experience. We spend an incredible amount of time raising money and asking local businesses, banks, and churches for donations and volunteer hours to create the best possible learning environment possible. Our students are very hard-working, respectable, trusting kids who come from tough home environments. They behave well and attempt to accomplish what their teachers ask them to do. About 65% of our students qualify for free/reduced-priced lunch program, and many families have a difficult time finding occupations to support their families on a consistent basis. We feel it is our responsibility to educate the whole child with academics, character education, physical needs, and emotional stability as our main focuses.

My Project

We continuously work to educate and emulate positive character traits in our faculty, staff, and student body. We want to provide over the top visuals in the common areas of our school for everyone to be constantly reminded of our goal.

We want to create the most positive culture possible in our school to foster these characteristics in our students as life long learners.

We feel this aspect of the educational process is just as important as mastering reading and arithmetic skills. These items will enhance our character education program already in progress, organized and implemented by our school counselor.
