Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
36 students come to the computer classroom, but there's only 28 computers for them to complete their assignments. How can this problem be solved?
Ferguson Senior High School is the largest high school in Miami Dade County Public Schools.
Our school gives students many opportunities for them to succeed. My students are part of this great school and are excited about taking challenges. They love projects and technology and always come the class ready to work.
My Project
We are requesting 8 laptop computers and a laptop charging cart. My students are part of the NAF Academy of Hospitality and Tourism where they can complete the NAFTrack Certification by submitting Culminating Projects, End of Course Assessments, and Internship Assessments. In order for my students to become NAFTrack certified, they each need a computer to complete their work in the classroom and become a successful NAF certified student.
Thanks to STEMworks who recognizes NAF as part of STEM education program, students can have tools necessary in order to complete the NAFTrack certification.
Without enough computers in the classrooms, some students will be left behind and would not have the opportunity to complete their program effectively. We appreciate the STEMworks program and would like to be part of it.
