Do you remember how you felt waiting for the first game of the season and all the preparation that took place to get ready? My female athletes share that excitement of waiting for and then finally getting to compete on their respective court and/or field. These girls have the desire to become not just better athletes but better people across the board!
Many of our students are using athletics, in addition to their academic achievements, to get offered a scholarship so that they may build a better future for themselves.
More than half of our students at THS are from low-income households. With that being said, many of our student-athletes have jobs in order to help support themselves and alleviate the pressure put on their parents. They know what hard work is, and they are not afraid of it. They thrive in situations others would have a very hard time facing. We really do have great kids that want to better themselves in every way and I am so proud of them! Go Bobcats!
My Project
Donations to this project will make a huge difference for my team. Our female athletes will now have the weights that they need to get stronger and be more dominant basketball players. We are a young team and have a lot of room to grow. Your donation will mean so much to our girls and myself!
