My Students

I work with low income families. To see the look on their faces when you introduce them to something new is priceless. The joy they get from learning new things daily is a great feeling. Our families are unable to help with items that we need in class to do a great project and let the kids have fun. Our school is located in Knoxville, and most of our families and kids live around violence daily.

I would like to give them as many good experiences as I can while teaching them daily.

Receiving materials to help with this concept would help out tremendously.

My Project

I want my students to have that feeling of home while playing, learning and exploring while in areas. We have full carpet which is plain and not very nice. I want my students to be able to lay down if they want to and relax while reading a book. When in dramatic play area I want them to have that feeling of being home and cooking, playing with babydolls and dressing up to pretend play. These carpets will be used in areas to make my students feel like they are home while interacting with friends and learning on a daily basis.
