Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Please help us! My students need an air conditioner unit to keep cool, healthy and stay on task. My class is full of curiosity and wonder. Each day they walk into my classroom full of energy and ready to tackle something new. Teaching in an inner city, low income school I see daily the challenges my kids face and at times it is heart breaking. They want nothing more than to learn, be accepted and loved.

We repeat that many times a day and work hard at boosting confidence. We are a small school made up of only 9 kindergarten classes, but our expectations are high and I believe each and every one of my kids can and will succeed.
My Project
We really need your help. The air conditioner unit will make a huge change in our classroom. The children come to school energetic and ready to learn, but after sitting for thirty minutes they feel weak, tired and are complaining that they can not breathe because the heat in our classroom. The air conditioner unit will help them stay healthy, focused and on task. We are in an old brick building, in a small classroom with the potential to have up to 27 kids.

My students will feel relaxed, be able to focus and will listen more attentively to the lessons in air conditioned room.
