This year I will have 28 amazing and unique students with a variety of learning needs. With educational expectations increasing it is even more important now to provide a variety of welcoming spaces for the students to strengthen their love of learning while maintaining their focus for daily instruction at the same time.
All students come into a classroom wanting to succeed and learn.
Giving the students the most ideal learning environment possible will allow students to achieve and succeed in a fun and rewarding way.
Second graders all come to school wanting to learn and succeed. As educators it is our responsibility to find out the ways in which every child in our classroom will be able to meet those learning expectations and feel successful at the same time.
Not every student is able to sit at a desk and in a chair for any length of time, and therefore as educators we need to provide alternatives.
Flexible seating can offer students a choice that will provide them the ability to move around the classroom without impacting other classmates. Students given choices of seating will feel empowered in their own learning process which will only have a positive impact on their self esteem. Wobble stools and flexible chairs will provide those students that little bit of extra attention and movement they need to thrive in their learning environment. Thank you for helping me afford that opportunity and choice for my students. In my 30 years as an educator I take great pride in doing everything I can to make all my students feel loved and successful.
