I teach in a close-knit rural school district in Oklahoma. Our Early Childhood Center is filled with vibrant, energetic, fun-loving Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. They are all spirited four, five and six-year-olds that love to come to school and learn every day. Our building is centered around young children and their unique developmental learning process.
I try very hard to make every day a new adventure for my sweet class.
We do many high energy, fun-filled learning centers and whole-group activities.
My Project
The project materials will be used daily for fine motor development and sensory play in my classroom. These items can be used on both our light table or in our big sensory tub.
I love the fact that they can be washed and are more sanitary than using sand or other non-washable items.
The children can make designs or trace numbers, letters or their names on the light table using these materials. They can also use scoops, tweezers, funnels, spoons, etc. in the sensory bin to help develop fine motor skills for writing.
