Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kids are vibrant, hard workers, and good role models for our community. They have dreams and hopes to make a better life for each other. I have kids who define "the rose that grew from concrete". My children are opening their eyes and finding the world has so much to offer. Most importantly, this kids are recognizing their voices are important and their ideas will impact the world in a positive manner. It is an honor to teach these kids.
My Project
These materials will assist in building the culinary arts program in our school. The fundamentals of cooking are essential for the growing child who will become an adult. It is vital to provide essential life skills that a child could take and apply in their everyday lives. Equally important, is to inspire our children to know that basic skills could be transformed towards a future career. It is the goal of this class to teach the basics of cooking, create a safe learning environment, and allow students to explore the possibilities of education within a culinary setting. Help me feed their minds and belly.
