We have raised garden beds on the school property. We built them with the intention of planting flowers in them that would help feed our honey bee colonies. Currently, we have 4 happy hives and we would like to give them a diet of various flowers, and a close source of nutrition.
These supplies will be used to raise flowers that will feed our growing bee population.
The students will start the plants indoors and when we are able we will transplant the flowers to our garden beds. The students love helping the bees and this will give them a sense of doing so.
