Our school is located in beautiful San Francisco and reflects a diverse ethnic and linguistic student population.
My students are wonderfully active first graders who work hard and play hard every day!
Our classroom is comprised of twenty-two creative, curious and hardworking students. Approximately 25% are English Language Learners and 30% receive free or reduced rate lunch. We are also fortunate to have special needs students on the Autism spectrum be part of our classroom community. All are motivated to learn and succeed in school and in life!
Feeding the body is essential to fueling the brain. Children who are hungry have limited attention spans which results in low academic success.
Having a supply of healthy snacks available for those who are hungry during the school day will help feed the body and fuel the brain.
Snacks such as goldfish crackers, pita chips, popcorn, jerky sticks and fruit snacks will be available for those students who may have skipped breakfast or need an afternoon boost. Hot chocolate will provide warmth as winter approaches. Serving my students quick and healthy snacks will help nourish their bodies and feed their brains!
