My Students
My students attend a Title I School, and almost seventy percent receive free or reduced price lunch and breakfast. They attend a magnet school which requires most students to maintain a B average throughout the year. The students are part of Pre-Med, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Computer Technology programs.
Our students come from the diverse backgrounds of thirty different countries. This makes our school pretty special in so many ways. The students all work so hard and are very deserving of this project.
My Project
My students are inner-city students who sometimes before they get to school have so much more to deal withthen most children. Issues like being hungry and sometimes coming to school dirty. If we can combat these issues then my scholars can come to my class and focus on their education. They can be on task for the day and ready to learn. They will have access to the trail mix, dried fruit mix, gold fish, crackers and other snacks for before and after school. They can ask for things like trail mix and crackers. Also, they can come in and request stuff to take home for the weekend. They will be able to have a small snack to take home if needed.
