Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is full of energetic learners. Sometimes they need a little boost to keep their energy and spirit up during the day.
My school is in a low income area but students have learned to leave all of life's complications at the door and open new doors to their future through education.
My students are culturally diverse and suffer from poverty, hunger and homelessness. Nothing a child should have to worry about. Help them succeed on their journey through life by removing some of those barriers one day at a time.
My Project
Students should not have to worry about hunger, poverty and homelessness. Help me provide the healthy snacks that will keep their brains growing and learning.
Hunger is real.
We have all been there. Sitting in class and all and all you hear is your stomach growling. You’re thinking “When is lunch?” What if that was your reality every minute of every day! Wondering when that growling would go away or if you would have food to eat when you got home. My favorite motto is sugar and sweets rot your teeth so what is it doing to your brain? Help me to provide these kids with healthy snacks like granola bars, crackers and pretzels.
