My students need No Fear Shakespeare versions of Macbeth and Othello. These are amazing texts, but a little help for lower level readers is priceless. This version is the version for helpful notes and translations.
My students are highly compassionate and passionate young people. They do come from a high poverty situation and don't often have stable home lives; however, their school is a place they know they have supportive adults and peers.

My Project
No Fear Shakespeare is a unique and invaluable tool for high school teachers. It provides the original text on one page and helpful translations and notes on the other side. This side-by-side version really helps lower level readers master the language and meaning of timeless, Shakespearean texts.
Othello and Macbeth are both common core recommended and highly engaging plays for high school students - they focus on the ideas of power, revenge, and controlling your destiny.
With these texts, students can build confidence in reading grade 12.5+ texts and have independence while reading.
These texts will be used to analyze the themes and characters, but also the common traits in Shakespeare's writings.
