FCMS Makerspace Supplies

My students need supplies for our school wide Maker-space. These supplies will help students learn how to build circuits.

My Students

Our students are eager to learn. We are a Title I school, so most of our students are on free and reduced lunch. These students do not let the lack of resources at home get in the way of their education.

Many of our students do not have access to technology at home; therefore, the only exposure to technology that they receive is what we provide them at school.

As you can imagine, they come to school each day looking for an opportunity to be challenged.

My Project

The students use the Makerspace supplies to create, discover, build, and make different projects. These projects revolve around STEM so that students are applying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We will use these materials to build circuits as well as other things. We plan to use cardboard to make marble runs. We plan to create bow ties and picture frames our of Duck Tape.

Each Maker Monday features a different project that the entire student body can sign up to participate in.

Our very first Maker Monday had a huge turn out so we have decided to designate a Maker Monday per grade level, so the participate size is more manageable. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
