Help me give my students the ability to visualize what is happening during these naturally occurring events. These models will allow students to examine in detail how changes in our earth are impacting everyday lives.
The students I have the privilege of working with in my science classes are inquisitive and very eager to learn and explore. They are easily engaged with hands-on activities that encourage their problem solving skills and cooperation, as well as their ability to read and follow multiple step directions.
My students get excited when it is time to complete experiments in our lab area.
Hands-on activities is a great way for them to apply knowledge they have learned!
My Project
Our students would love to learn about earthquakes and volcanoes in a different way. Looking at a model will allow them to have a hands-on experience and a way to visualize these events much easier!
Our school district is located on the New Madrid fault line, which has caused some major earthquakes in the past.
Learning about how this happens and being able to see what the impact can be is very important to the understanding for all students, but especially ours!
Donating to this project will help our students relate to what they live around every day, although they cannot see it.
