Father-Daughter Dance to Encourage Father's Participation in School Activities

Help me give my students a tiara to wear to a Father-Daughter Dance. We are a Title One low-income school. We are going to be providing meals, dance lessons, and a carnation flower.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a low-income school. We look for ways to create positive interactions with the school. We are trying to get more fathers involved in their children's educational journey. This dance helps us meet our Head Start standards by involving fathers. We know that parents are their kids' first teachers and we try and encourage as many positive experiences as possible.

The tiaras are for the fathers to give to their daughters.

It helps create a fun memory of their Pre-K year. The smiles on their faces and watching the dads dancing with their daughters is such a wonderful experience for all of us.
