Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

The second grade teachers keep telling me that the best thing we can do for our first graders is to make sure they know their addition and subtraction facts to 20. To ensure this, at least three times a week they do a timed test. Surprisingly, they loved to be timed! They love to see their progress. This year I would like to find a way that will allow students to be more independent and track their own progress. I was able to find practice boards at Lakeshore that have built-in timers. This way the students will be able to test and time themselves. I know that the students will have a lot of fun with them while learning a very important skill. In this proposal, I am requesting four of the addition facts practice boards.
