My Students
**Capstone Studio Class** is preparing Fashion Design Students for college portfolio review.
My students are creative, innovative and vibrant!
They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to design concepts outside the box! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and artistically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
The stakes are really high when applying for art & fashion design colleges. The quality of a portfolio requires adequate materials to elevate the students' rendition of their designs.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves to create fashion design concepts. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, fashion illustration techniques, peer artistic collaboration, and garment construction. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of fashionistas that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
Chartpak design markers, watercolor paper, and watercolor pencils are crucial to the fashion illustration learning techniques for the competitive portfolio college presentation.
Materials for Fashion design illustration are costly for public school students of Chapter 1 schools in the NY DOE.
Therefore, as an educator, I am seeking out for your donations to facilitate quality materials for the competitive quality product colleges such as FIT and Parsons are expecting from the applicants from HSFI. The mission of HSFI is to educate the next generation of creative, socially responsible, and globally relevant professionals able to succeed in the broad spectrum of art and design fields.
The school challenges students to create new and valuable ideas through innovation, collaboration, and experimentation.
