Fantasy, Informative, Futuristic....We Just Want To Read
My students need a boombox and a variety of books, including 4 copies of "The House of Hades" and a set of The Complete Maximum Ride Series, to capture their imagination and encourage them to read.
Do you remember what it was like to find a book and not want to put it down?
Our students come in to our library before school, at lunch and after school as well as scheduled class time.
Our library provides a safe comfortable place for our students to come in, decompress and get lost in a book. We want to encourage them to turn to reading for an adventure, fantasy, and knowledge of the world around them.
My Project
Our town has the "fastest rodeo in the world" and a heritage rich in rodeo, cattle, and country living, yet our middle school library does not reflect the community flare. These books will capture and encourage students to read about what is going on around them.
Our students love to read!
They have a sense for adventure and a desire to explore what is out in our world. Our request will allow more choice in books in a library without a enough resources for our ever expanding school enrollment.
