Our classroom is home to a special group of diversified kiddos. The class is composed of a population who require someone to go that extra step to provide them a safe, engaging, and active learning environment.
Presently, 5 of the 25 are leveled as an ELL student.
An additional 6 have behavior modification plans in place via an IEP. The remaining student population consists of atypical ADHD behaviors and a significant number of them are energetic males. There is constant activity throughout the classroom environment. Individualized behavior skills and strategies are promoted consistently throughout the day.

My Project
According to their website: Bouncy Bands have been clinically proven to improve students’ ability to focus and stay on task while moving their legs relieving anxiety, stress, frustration and boredom. They also allow students to release excess energy and concentrate by bouncing their feet and stretching their legs. In addition, when kids are bored, tired or disinterested Bouncy Bands engage nerve endings on the bottom of their feet to generate ideas and encourage activity. Bouncy Bands attach to a chair or desk in seconds.
Students will have the ability to move in class and not be forced to sit completely still for long periods of time, by bouncing their feet on the contraption connected to their seat.
Controlling their ability to relieve feelings of discomfort helps students perform better at class, be less tense and focus their attention when taking a test. Bouncy Bands are a great way for kids to be able to enjoy school, enjoy learning and perform at a higher level.
