Fantastic First Grade Listeners

My students need CD players with audiobooks to be used during our Daily Five listening station. These items will help all of the students with their listening and reading skills.

My Students

My Fantastic First Graders come from all different walks of life. Students come from a diverse background, but what they all have in common is that they want to learn and love school. Students want to be comfortable while they are working and learning. We will be spending a lot of time building relationships and a positive environment so the students can grow and learn.

I am at a Title 1 School where I have students who are dying to learn new things.

I have a lot of parent involvement, which is definitely helpful. I have students that fall into just about every category you can think of. I have high achievers, constant movers, all races, and the students who need a lot of love.

My Project

The students will be able to pair up with other students and pick a book to listen to until it is time to rotate stations. The students will have increased listening and reading skills by using this center. Listening to others read makes a huge impact on students word recognition and comprehension.
