Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My 5th graders are a diverse and dynamic group of learners. They come from all walks of life and bring unique perspectives to our classroom community. What I love most about them is their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. They are always eager to ask questions, explore new ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions.

The weighted and regular stuffed animals will provide comfort and sensory support for my students who need it, which will help them feel more calm and focused during independent work time.

This will allow them to better engage with the texts we read and the lessons we teach. Also, I believe that every child deserves access to engaging and meaningful literature, and these books will allow my students to explore fantastical worlds and imagine new possibilities.

Overall, these materials will make a tremendous difference in my students' learning. They will help us create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment, promote a love of reading and inquiry, and support the diverse needs of our learners. I can't wait to see the growth and success that my students will achieve with your help!
