Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is a Pre-K LINKS room for students on the Autism Spectrum. My students have a variety of challenges when it comes to learning and challenge my creativity on a daily basis to maximize my abilities as an educator.
My students are such a wonderfully unique bunch of curious learners.
They range in age from three to five years old, and each brings something special into our classroom. They are always on the move and eager to explore and I enjoy finding new ways to present them with the world around them.
My Project
My students rely very much on the accommodations provided through visuals and multi-sensory presentation of materials. It is essential that I provide each of my students with the level of support necessary for them to learn. I teach in a low income, urban area so many necessary resources are unavailable to my classroom. The materials I have requested such as play-doh, a printer with ink and learning alphabet activities will help me be able to provide each student with a rich learning experience and push them to their full potential! I will be able to create a classroom environment that is fun and full of opportunities to learn in a multitude of ways!
