My students need research books on inspirational people. Here at our school we strive to motivate our students. From Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World to past political figures, we desire to motivate.
I work with 850 energetic middle school students in a Title I high-poverty school. Our students spend lots of time in our school library/technology center, reading, researching, taking Accelerated Reader and standardized tests. It's a quiet place they can relax in and enjoy.
Our parish experienced a devastating loss on August 13th, with historic flooding across our city.
Not only did students lose their homes and personal belongings; but our school received around 30" of water, which destroyed the entire contents of our beloved library and technology center. My project will help with the rebuild process, as most students will not have access to computers or books.

Here at our school, we strive to motivate our students with inspirational role models.
Our library is still recovering from the historic flooding of 2016. With limited financial resources, we depend on donors like you to help us give our students the resources they need to strive and motivate them to be the outstanding students we know they are.
Research is one of our 7th and 8th-grade requirements and we need the books to do it. We will research famous people and eras that have made an impact on our world. People like Winston Churchill, Isaac Newton, Ella Fitzgerald and Rosa Parks. We will also research different eras such as civil and world wars, prohibition, and civil rights and the people who were involved in these movements.
We know we can depend on your help to assist us in providing the resource materials that they need to motivate, inspire and encourage each and every student.
