My students are hard workers at an urban, inner-city school. All of our students get free breakfast and lunch. More than half of my students come from families where English is not the first language, and in many cases school is their only exposure to English.
My students come to school each day excited to learn and to see what the day has in store for them.
The students come from varied family situations, including some who live with grandparents and some who live with other relatives. I am always looking for ways to keep my students excited about their learning and ways to give them many possibilities in their educational experiences.
This project will give me a yearlong license for MobyMax 4, which will include licenses to multiple things that my students use. I will use MobyMax to not only see where my students are, but also to allow them to practice and show their family what they know.
My goal is for the family to be able to work together on what my students are learning so that the entire family is learning together.
The assessments would only be done in class, but the practice would allow for the entire family to be engaged with the learning of their child. This will also help parents to see where their child has strengths and opportunities so that they will be able to best support the learning of their child.
