My Students

We are a multicultural bunch that comes from countries all around the globe, that speak many different languages. We are a Title I school, and many of my students' families are of limited means. My goal is to create a classroom community full of kindness, excitement, and a love of learning!

My hard-working 5th-grade students are creative, enthusiastic, and full of excitement.

We're working on being empathetic towards others and building kindness in our classrooms through small actions every day.

My Project

Power My Learning is an interactive online homework site that connects teachers, families, and students! This online program allows for constant communication between school and home. Students will have the opportunity to reinforce their school skills at home with a family member. This allows the family to be involved in what the child is learning at school and have a connection with a child’s teacher. Most importantly, the family is able to ask specific questions about their child’s learning, instead of generic questions like, “How was your day at school?” This program will change the way that schools and homes communicate. I believe it is really important for the families to be involved in the child’s learning each day through communication. This program will allow all of that to happen!
