My Students

At our STEM Academy, we come together to explore, question and create in order to do better work and be better people than we ever thought possible.

Our mission is to develop life-long learners working together as innovative problem solvers in the global community.

We accomplish our mission by facilitating instruction that is real-world and focused on the application of acquired knowledge and skills. We do this through employing: Project Based Learning, Inquiry Learning and Integrated instruction. Our learning is authentic and meaningful for all our students.

My Project

My goal this year is to welcome, include, and connect the families of my students to our classroom. Because the families are amazing! It is important the parents are involved in their children's work because when the children see that their parents value reading and writing they will value reading and writing.

Students will complete weekly journal entries and bring the journal home for their parents/guardians/older siblings to write a response to their journal entry.

This family writing project will allow families to be more involved with their children work and give them better insight to where their child is in the writing process so they can support them better.
