My students come to school every day ready to learn! They are creative, thoughtful, kind, and are full of curiosity. They are eager to learn and each has a unique learning style. As their teacher I try to meet each of their learning styles so they are successful and actively engaged in my classroom.
My students all come with different academic and social backgrounds.
They grow throughout the year, and we celebrate our achievements. Third grade is a big year for growth and understanding.
We find diversity in many different ways in our classrooms. Because our school does not have a great deal of racial diversity we can find diversity in different ways. One way my students will be learning about diversity is to look at each child's unique family structure. These read aloud stories, "My Family, Your Family, My Food, Your Food," and "My Language Your Language," will help us understand that each family is different and unique.
Students will have the opportunity to present these family projects to their peers in a variety of ways.
Some students will choose to type their family stories with the Bluetooth Keyboards while others will use the Retro Handsets to record their family history.
