My Students
Our schools basketball program promotes sportsmanship, academics, leadership, and team unity. This year will be our fourth year having a team. Each year we try to incorporate something new to our program as it continues to grow.
The student athletes that participate in our basketball program truly love the game.
They are determined and eager to start working towards a successful season. Their determination carries over into the classroom. Each student is given an academic requirement that must be met to be eligible to play. Many of our student atheletes go above and beyond the requirements to ensure they can get out there and support their team!
My Project
These materials will make a difference for our student atheletes. To promote team unity and community, we provide warm up jackets. Due to cost this has become difficult for both the coaches and families. Atheletes wear their warm up jackets with pride as they get ready for each game and show their school spirit. We are in need of water bottles and a traction mat. To keep atheletes hydrated during practice and games, water bottles are great to have. We do not play games in our own gym and traveling with a traction mat helps our players avoid injury due to dusty or slippery floors. Lastly, we are in need of new basketballs. Our athletes take good care of the equipment they are provided with and we plan to use these new basketballs for years to come.
