This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My kindergarten students are eager and enthusiastic learners who come into my classroom each and every day ready to learn, explore, and investigate.

They are highly motivated and beam with pride as they explore, learn, and investigate.

They love participating in active and engaging lessons, activities, centers, and projects. They are avid book lovers who love to explore and read. Many of my students do not have a home library so they rely on our classroom and school library for books to read.

My Project

My students want to lean how to problem solve. The stem kits will allow them not only to read fairytales but also explore fairytales through science, technology, engineering, and math.

These opportunities for discovery will enhance their learning activities by providing everyone in the class with hands on exploration and extension activities.

One of the most important skills is to be able to problem solve. The stem kits will encourage problem solving and higher order thinking.

My students will be able to work together to solve problems, build, while utilizing math, reading and science skills. The fairytale stem kits will allow my students to connect with the text.
