My Students

Young children are natural explorers! My kindergartners are great examples of how children love to delve into new projects and share their new learning. The excitement they feel when they are engaged in new learning experiences will build memories to last a lifetime.

Our beautiful magnet school is an environment where children of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds come together to learn and grow to heights they never imagined they could!

It is magical to see what kids can achieve when given the opportunity! Everyday is a new chance for students to learn and grow!

My Project

What young child doesn't love classic fairy tales and building? None that I've had the privilege of teaching! The fairy tales included in the Fairy Tale STEM kits are mentor texts used in our kindergarten English Language Arts curriculum. The fairy tale kits will provide my kindergarten students with a variety of experiences integrating literature and STEM components.

Through our Emergent Storybook unit, students become familiar with classic fairy tales and act them out to audiences of their peers.

These kits will be used with students as they work in small groups retelling the stories as they build the reading comprehension.
