Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Imagine walking into a school composed of students who speak over 40 different languages other than English. Everything seems foreign at first and then you step foot inside the science classroom and the your world changes. You and everyone inside the class now speak one language, the language of science. Our school is a place where science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are constantly pushed to the limits.
We are highly motivated to teach, learn, and explore science in creative ways to help each other become more adept at using technology and engineering in more functional and applicable settings within the classroom.
My students want to learn how to use the latest technology that is transforming their society.
My Project
Using the technology of Sphero mini, students will be able to create design and executes codes they write. For my students after years of learning about coding through various programs such as Tynker code combat they have become adept at creating codes and executing their designs. This will give them a chance to now apply their skills to the real world of autonomous engineering.
Using Sphero they will learn to program as well use their face to control Sphero through student designed mazes in the fastest amount of time.
Please help us bring innovation into the classroom. Using any type of technology is great but being able to relate our real world to students who come from varying backgrounds is what it takes to inspire the next great innovation.
