My Students

I am fortunate to have 19 joy-filled, energetic first graders in my classroom this year. They are enthusiastic, creative, and excited to be at school. Their excitement and enthusiasm for learning make it a joy for me to come to work each day.

These children have their own unique learning style and it’s my goal to provide a classroom atmosphere that gives them the opportunity to work in a way that allows them to be successful.

It is my hope that when my students have a variety of seating options they will be motivated to work, collaborate, and learn!

My Project

I would love to give my students a variety of options and spaces to work. A low table with four floor chairs will be useful during reading, math and spelling rotations. The table allows for collaboration, while the floor chairs keep students off the bare floor, with back support for more comfort.

Students need to have a hard surface to write on, and with the wooden lap desks they will have the flexibility to sit anywhere in the room but still have the support they need to write.

I’m excited and hopeful that I will be able to provide my students with these seating options!
