My Students

Fraction concepts are an important skill for third graders to master. They have only been working with whole numbers during their school career and now begin learning about parts of a whole number.

My students are inquisitive and eager to learn.

The typical third grader needs math manipulatives to understand the different math concepts being taught. My third graders are no different. They thrive in math when they can use manipulatives to help them understand the math concept. These learning games will make fractions fun and fantastic in their eyes!

My Project

I am requesting a Fraction Formulas Game and the Free Range Fractions Game. My students will be able to use these resources to enhance their learning of fractions. They will be able to understand how the parts relate to the whole. My students will enjoy learning about fractions and this will reinforce their learning in a fun way!

I believe this project will make in a difference in my classroom because fractions are a critical third grade skill that my students must master in order to be successful in other grades.

This project will help them learn about fractions in a concrete way and lay a foundation for future learning.
