My second graders are wonderful. They are curious and love to learn. They love to read in different places in my room. Also, during partner work we move all over the room to work. We are learning to use the space in our classroom for flexible seating activities. I am excited to be a second-grade teacher. I love to watch my students grow socially, emotionally, and academically during the year.
Enthusiatic, creative students who are eager to learn describe my students.
They love to move around my classroom for all academic activities. Also, when we play math games with partners they move around and choose their favorite spots in the classroom.
I chose the Lakeshore Flex Space Work Space Bundle because I know my students would love more flexible seating in my classroom. The sofa and chair will be used throughout our school day. Daily students move around the room for independent reading time, math partners, and shared writing time. My students love to find spaces in the room to make them feel comfortable. Second graders love to move throughout the day! Movement helps them focus better.
Feels like home!
The sofa and chair will enable my students to have more flexible seating options in my classroom. I want my classroom to be comfortable and cozy for my students. My goal is to have my students use furniture in my room that reminds them of home. The sofa and chair are pieces of furniture they have at home. With more seating, my students will have more flexible seating choices and be encouraged and inspired to read more. I know my students will love this seating! There's no place like home!
