Help me give my students the freedom to learn in an environment that fits their needs!

Hooray! This project is fully funded
5th grade is such a transitional and formative year for my students. They are exploring how to learn at their own and forming their own personalities and opinions. When they reach 5th grade they want to be given the power of choice and let their creativity flow. By offering flexible seating in my room I believe it will help alleviate the anxiety of learning while offering students the power to choose what learning space works best for them.
The group of students I will be getting this upcoming year are highly active and need different spaces to learn.
They have struggled with focus and behavior in the past and I want to give them a fresh start with new spaces in the room to explore their learning in their unique way. They are bright, fascinated by the world, and future leaders. I am so excited to start their final year of elementary school off on the right foot and encourage them further as learners.
The flexible seating options will be used daily in my classroom. I want to give students the power of choice about what area and classroom furniture works best for them to learn in. Not all students are the same and they need options to explore where they can wiggle and get out from behind a desk, but still learn.
Lap desks will be used for students who like to sit lower to the ground or during small/partner group work.
The standing desks are a great option for students who have a difficult time sitting still, but need a usable work space. The chair bands are great for students who need to wiggle, but are okay to stay seated to learn. I am so excited to offer my students more options to enhance their learning!
