My Students
Reading, writing, LEARNING, OH MY! Students in my first grade class are coming into my classroom in September and they need materials to help them have fun while learning. Engaging students through fun games and listening centers will motivate them to learn.
My first graders live in one of the poorest communities in the United States.
The community has one of the highest asthma rates in the country. Massive budget cuts in New York is greatly impacting our schools and is greatly affecting my classroom. Some children come to us from the local shelters. My urban public school serves over 1,000 students. There are 7 first grade classrooms alone. Engaging my students is important for the success of their learning. By contributing to my classroom, you will help them become better readers, writers, and life-long learners. With your contribution my students will be able to enjoy learning. My fabulous students want to learn, but they also want to have fun doing it!
My Project
My students need to be able to listen to favorite books on CD, headphones to listen to their favorite books, reading and math centers to make learning fun. Literacy and math are vital in first grade as they build the stepping stones to the future. With your contribution you will be assisting students in their EVERYDAY learning.
