My students need an interactive white board as a visual aide to learning which,in addition, provides students with an opportunity to interact with lessons.
Do you remember that excited feeling you had when you knew the answer to a question your teacher was asking and were able to share that answer with the class? My goal is to have every student in my class have that same feeling at least once a day.
My students are eager to learn but often struggle to find ways to connect with lessons.
As their teacher, it is my passion to activate their knowledge through multiple modalities. Many of my students live in high poverty and they often come to school with limited background knowledge and exposure to skills necessary to become lifetime learners. Our school strives to reach every type of learner each day to help expand and strengthen their foundation of skills. Each day we analyze student progress and search for ways to activate their learning.
My Project
The Now! Board is a portable interactive whiteboard that will engage my students in active learning each day. This technology will help to reach all types of learners in each subject area daily. The Now! Board will provide my students with visual cues and examples to support learning. Students will be able to use this technology to interact with lessons and to demonstrate their understanding and excitement for concepts taught.
The now!Board may provide a lifeline for students in my class who struggle to maintain focus and attention through out the length of the day.
It will also allow all students to a visual model and interactive practice for students to achieve success for all classroom lessons.
