Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Underprivileged and no money." That's what my students are. They are the most excited 4th grade students. They want to learn and I want to teach them. They deserve to have some new tools to learn with. Learning should be fun. That way students do not even realize they are learning. My students need to be exposed to a higher level way of thinking. Taking a serious subject like reading and turning it into a fun, relaxing activity is an awesome way to teach and learn. Teaching in NYC has one major downfall. Lack of money. Ideas blossom all around me from inside my students heads. They come up with these great ideas like this one and I try my best to make it reality.
Our library looks old and raggedy. There are broken bins and ripped books. We do not look forward to going to our class library because of the way it looks.
We must have a make over. People especially students need to have visual appel in order to want to do something. Having new bins to put our books in will give us the opportunity to make our class library visually appealing. Also having the same type of labels on each basket will keep everything well organized.
PLease help us make over our library. We take pride in learning. Giving us the chance to have a vibrant nice looking library will make us want to go there more often.
