My Students

We are a K-5 charter school that emphasizes STEM and strong academic performance. We teach the engineering design process with a healthy mix of arts integration and core studies. Students are encouraged to learn through both failure and iteration. Our school boasts an amazing partnership between parents, community businesses and staff. Students come to us on all different levels, so targeting individualized instruction is a must. We support a diverse mix of ethnic backgrounds. We are a school of choice, attracting students from more than six counties.

My Project

I am striving to become a 1 to 1 classroom. Currently, we are sharing 25 chrome books for 40 students. I team teach and both myself and the other teacher like to use computers to access online resources that allow students to work on their individual level and progress at their own pace. With so few computers, it is hard to accomplish this task.

Allowing students access to online sources that engage, evaluate, and individualize learning goals is essential.

My hope is to increase the number of computers to better utilize these resources.
