I teach an amazing class of 5th and 6th graders in Los Angeles, California. In my combo class, students desire to go above and beyond on assignments given the right resources that are high interest. We are a great multicultural family that loves to learn. My class includes students that speak a language other than English at home. All students receive free breakfast and 32% receive free or reduced-price lunch.
Our class recently received a Bearded Dragon to promote high interest hands-on science learning in our classroom.
My Project
Our class is studying life cycles in nature. We plan on observing our Bearded Dragon's growth over time and tracking his diet from leafy greens to tasty crickets. We are happy to have the new responsibility of making sure our pet is healthy and safe.
We have requested a much larger terrarium because we know that our Bearded Dragon is going to keep growing as he gets older.
We have also requested rocks, lighting, and a heat lamp to maintain a desert habitat for our Bearded Dragon. We are requesting ink toner to print out our reports.
Your help donating to this project means that our pet will have some extra legroom as he grows and other necessary supplies to keep him healthy and happy!
