Many of my students come from language deficient homes. They live in situations where smart phones are a priority but not books, magazines or computers. They are often faced with trauma, loss and fear.
More importantly, however, my students have hearts of gold and they have limitless potential.
It is my passion to help them reach beyond what their circumstances might model and to help them discover the beauty within themselves. I want them to know safety, love and compassion.
Scholastic magazine provides grade-level access to some of the most important and interesting events from around the globe. As future world leaders, my students will need to deepen their understanding of their world as well as strengthen their reading skills.
My students need to stay connected and informed.
This magazine is an industry leader. The materials are bright, clear, concise and very engaging. They include vocabulary development and activities. There are also online resources and activities. They also offer opportunities for the students to interact with others around the world and they offer writing opportunities to kids of all ages.
