Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! They have a hunger and thirst for knowledge. They are so excited to come to school and learn. Most of my students come from homes where books are scarce.
My Project
Help my students need to practice their handwriting in a fun way. What better way than with Marker boards and markers! I can also use this for some class response. They write their answers quickly then show their boards, and I can quickly scan and see who had the concept. We will also use the markers to make words and practice our spelling words. The ten frame marker boards are great. My kids have trouble drawing their own ten frames. The magnetic counters are great for storage and for them to manipulate. They won't get lost! The jumbo ten frames are great for me to model in front of the class.
