Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is an exciting year! I have recently moved from kindergarten to second grade. I am thrilled to be teaching this group because this group of students was my first kindergarten class. I am looking forward to seeing how much these students have grown and changed.
These students love exploring the world around them through hands on experiences, immersing themselves in different styles of texts, and examining different math techniques.
This group loves to learn, and this makes them fun to teach and watch work. Their enthusiasm to gain knowledge is contagious and makes it coming to school ever morning a surprise and gift.
My Project
These Scholastic News weekly readers will provide my students with hands on text. Students will be able to read the news like their parents do but in a format more suitable for them.
Weekly readers are full of current fun and interesting topics relevant to students.
They allow students to learn about the world around them. Students can find ideas and ways on how they can impact their community and world around them.
These readers will allow students to access current events and information in a way other than the internet. Students can manipulate the text and interact with it in a hands on format.
