Our students are special because they are the future leaders of this country! In our classrooms, they are dreamers, thinkers, scientists, questioners, mathematicians, writers, readers, and so much more. We teach because they are worth it and are tiny world-changers! We are a PreK-5th-grade school in the heart of North Carolina. Our classrooms come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and that helps create such a wonderful dynamic in our classrooms. In our classrooms, we strive to create diverse and meaningful lessons that will stick with our students long after they leave.
My Project
Scholastic News Magazines and Science Readers provide our students with an amazing opportunity to learn about the world around them all from the comfort of our classroom! As beginning readers, our students LOVE learning how to read and are very excited when new books/magazines are brought into our classrooms.
Scholastic News Magazines and Science Readers will be a new adventure for our classrooms as they are discovering the world around them.
These magazines will engage our students and serve as another resource for them to use and pull information from. Our students will LOVE the brightly colored pictures that Scholastic provides, as well as, learning about all the text features that come with these nonfiction articles.
These magazines will help our students expand their vocabulary and make cross-curricular connections, all while helping them achieve their first grade standards. The great thing about these readers is that they tackle science, social studies, math, and ELA all while being engaging and fun for our students to read!
