Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Some of my students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations. This could be the year that magic happens and they fall in love with books.
Each of my students enter the classroom with different background experiences, but share a common thread of their love for learning new things!
Their questions spark curiosity, their interest drives our daily lessons and their excitement and thirst for knowledge is contagious!
My Project
My students need various non-fiction magazines. By supporting this project, you will be putting high quality, engaging and high interest text into the hands of early readers! These resources would be readily available to the students on a daily basis to be used during the daily reading block. In addition, the text will serve as an anchor for informative writing pieces throughout the year.
Your donation will help support reading development and will ensure that standards are being met using high quality & high interest text.
As a result, students will have deeper practice with standards that are vital to comprehension and will enhance standards that develop over time. Non-fiction text will spark their interest and curiosity about the world around them. Thank you in advance for considering supporting this project! Your generosity and thoughtfulness are greatly appreciated
