Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students are always interested in the world around them. They love exploring science topics and learning about how things work. It is important for students to keep up with the world outside of our community.
My First Grade classroom is made up of 18 amazing learners.
They come to school ready to learn despite the obstacles they face prior to stepping foot in the classroom. We are a Title I school, and almost all of my students are English Language Learners.
My Project
Scholastic News/Science Spin Magazines are developmentally-appropriate tools designed to introduce and reinforce core, early-learning concepts. Each week students will be able read about the world while meeting important state standards. Many of my students do not have access to books or other reading materials at their homes. Students will be able to use these wonderful resources in the classroom and then be able to keep them forever and share with their families!
Scholastic News/Science Spin Magazines are a valuable resource that provides science and social studies based enrichment while building students' fundamental reading skills.
Your donation will make it possible for my students to learn more about the world in which they live! With your help, my students will have access to a vast amount of age-appropriate news.
