My Students

The challenges of teaching Art during a pandemic are every evolving. Our school has remained open since August and we are still going strong. I get the honor of teaching Art to 900 plus PreK - Fifth grade students in our Title 1 school. This year I will be a traveling Art teacher due to Covid restrictions. I love my students and know that they will work so very hard and enjoy each lesson. Many of our students have limited resources and our program needs extra materials so that students can safely be creative with their own personal supplies.

My Project

Our school has operated fully since August in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic. We are taking measures to keep our students safe which includes Activity classes in their classroom instead of traveling to my classroom to attend Art. I work from my Art Cart and we do a lot of drawing. Paper is essential to our program. Having 900 students and eight classes per day means we use a very large amount of paper. Having additional papers for the children to use will ensure Art lessons can continue throughout this school year.
